iPhone compliant theme
A user (sandman) suggested a template that's optimized for the iPhone, and I suggested that we could put this template into a plugin that would only activate for iPhones and you can use the normal template you already had!

Magazine or NewsPaper Theme
There are a few great magazine or article management extensions, but absolutely no Magazine Themes. Would be nice to see a Joomla! website that looks like your typical magazine or newspaper online.
Theme Forest has a nice psd version of what I am suggesting.

Backend Drag n Drop Module Position
The ability to drag n drop modules into place on the backend. Currently, you have to open the module, select the new position, then save. This is cumbersome when moving module positions all the time. I have seen JPosition that allows loggedin users to move modules. But nothing on the admin level for moving Modules with drag n drop functionality!

We’ve got something in the works, though it’s also for the frontend. We really want to push as much of these kind of tasks to the frontend as possible for ourselves and all of our clients.

PlainPraise/VanillaPraise Template
A light-weight, nearly blank template that has similar specs to your <div>ision template - template over-rides, Dynamic Logo, Sidebar(s) Orientation, fixed or fluid, etc. - but stripped even further back. No images (other than temp logo) used for backgrounds or buttons, no css/javascript tricks for menus. You could use a different color outline for each module position, no harmonious but just a way to see the borders of the layout.
Basically, a framework on which to build. Want a custom menu, then add praisemenu; want your tool bar with a gradient background then code up the css and drop it… more

Splash Page
I'd love to see a splash or confirmation page that people have to click on before entering the site. So far I haven't seen anything like this ready made for Joomla.

T-Mobile G1 Compatible AdminPraise
I may be alone in this, but I have a G1 and love it to death. I have seen the iPhone and its features but have no need to switch. My question is am I the only one with a phone other than the iPhone? If not and you have a G1 please vote for AdminPraise to be ported over to G1 and other phones. IPhones arent the world....Am I Right? Vote....vote....vote.

I run a non-profit Baseball program for youth in our area and I'd love to put up a nice Joomla site with some "sports" related features...

There is a lack of amazing virtuemart templates, there are many but most of them are poor attempts with no real passion put in to them.

Make all JP templates mobile phone/browser capable
At least with a style sheet or something simple like that. Note that there are SEVERAL mobile related requests on UserVoice for JP, including one about Android, one for T-Mobile....this is only going to become more important...

Helpdesk
It would be great to have a helpdesk tool in projectfork.
The customers could select a product (or project) and submit their tickets.
The tasks appearing on projectfork to be addressed by the development or support team.

Any comments on the layout, design, or function requests? What would specifically be good for an HOA template? What sets an HOA template apart?

Webcomic Template
With so many webcomic sites being written in Wordpress (nothing wrong with that), much of my own studio design is in Joomla and I would love to see something that would allow both current release and archives that way.
